Hello again, Sweden

We arrived just after midnight on the 17th in dense fog. The poor taxi driver had not been given the correct address so Gunnar had to guide him. After a few hours shut-eye in a cold summer house, Gunnar got the car going (after changing a flat tyre), and we could drive to Mia's for breakfast, a few hours sleep and a warm shower before going on to Kina and Sune and the big party.

Together we have 130 years of life experience.

The party kicked off with Champagne followed by a sill lunch with lots of schnapps and singing. The kitchen staff is working flat out!

Google is a goldmine of songs to go with the schnapps.

Coffee and cream cake, the first screening of my film about Kristina, presents and speeches.

The birthday girls are told of all the terrible things they did as children.........

We take the ferry boat Emeli across the water to Grand's Veranda where Storskär is waiting.

I wonder where I've seen the captain before?

We passed Gröna Lund and I get butterflies in my tummy just looking at the new attractions "free fall" and some kind of especially devilish "loop-the-loop".

We had a private dining room on the Storskär and Bitte had decorated the table with streamers and little Swedish flags. The excellent dinner was accompanied with more Champagne.

A lyrical speech by Sune was well received by all.

Back in Stockholm we took a short walk along the quay before taking a cab back to Kristina's. I'm sorry, there are no more pictures today, I was rather tired at this point.
