Last day in the wilderness

We left the station n perfect weather. The first stop was here on a large flat stone with fabulous views. We saw a lot of reindeer gracing not too far away.

Our packed lunch we eat by the side of a river that we then had to ford to reach the continuation of the trail.

There are stepping stones and very little water, so this time we didn't have to remove our shoes.

It has been a perfect day with sunshine and clear blue skies and temperatures good for walking, 6 degrees when we started and about 13 in the middle of the day. We arrived back at Storulvån in plenty of time for a shower and a snooze for Gunnar. Sarah and I took a cup of tea and went up to the loft where there are comfortable chairs and low tables. There we talked to a young girl that we had met on the mountain. She was a sergeant in the Swedish Army with a speciality in logistics. She had among other things been responsible for fueling the helicopters during the large fire recently in the neighboring county.

Today I used the other camera mostly, so those pictures will be uploaded when we reach Forsen.
